Rabbitohs Move To Maroubra

On Sunday morning I had the privilege of sharing the new Heffron Centre field with the Rabbitohs family. We had gathered together to mark the occasion of the first day the team trained at their new home.

I felt honoured to be sharing this experience with club legend Bob McCarthy and current stars Latrell Mitchell and Cameron Murray.

Daily Telegraph journalist Dean ‘Bulldog’ Ritchie interviewed Darren Brown, Corey Murray and me for his exclusive story in todays paper.

Bunnies TV Back To Back

Today I was back at the venue, this time to shoot footage of the team and to capture the press conference. The players presented for the media were club captain Cameron Murray, Damien Cook and Jacob Host.

I arrived early, grabbed a coffee across the road and was the first media present on the sideline. While I waited I chatted to Souths sport scientist Hayden.

Around 9.45 am I fired up our Georges Cameras Canon XF605 Camcorder and began filming the team as they took the field on day 2 at their new home ground. I shared this footage as Bunnies TV channel members only content.

Not Yet Open To The Public

The Heffron Centre is still a construction site and not yet open to the public. Eventually fans will be able to watch along the black fenceline around the field.

After the session the Bunnies TV drone took off for what was it’s best flight yet.

  • The new terrain and the building are great. The room above John Sattler is a great memento of him and so he will never be forgotten. The center has become really great and everyone seems to love it.
Thank you for all the great pictures and impressions from the first days. Great work from all of you and the aerial photos show only how big the whole area is.

    Greetings from Germany
