A Fitting Farewell To Redfern

Souths fans were out in force today to witness the final captains run before the Rabbitohs move to their new home at Maroubra.

Rabbitohs members were invited to an 8.30am start at Redfern Oval. Former Rabbitoh Mark Ellison was interviewed on the field by another former Rabbitoh Shannon Donato.

Live & Free

Due to the early start our cameras rolled before the advertised time of 9.15am. Browny and Chaps couldn’t make it so we had a guest host, young Liam Taylor. Liam join me for the whole broadcast and did an excellent job. Later we were joined by Abby then Hugo to assist me in commentary.

Once our live cameras were off I packed up and moved down to the press conference and awaited the arrival of Jason Demetriou. While I waited I managed to shoot some short form videos and take some pictures. This footage has been compiled in extended form for Bunnies TV members a shorter version will be available on Bunnies TV for everyone to see.

Junior Tatola

Chaps usually interviews JD so he organised the questions to ask. I added a few extra bits and pieces here and there. During the interview JD revealed that Junior Tatola could only be a week away from a return from injury. This is despite the fact that he was walking around in a knee brace and still had a bit of a limp. If Junior is able to come back next week it will be a credit to the rehab staff for getting him back on the field so soon.

At the end of the session I flew our drone over Redfern and captured a young boy kicking a left foot field goal.

On my way to the car I stopped for a quick chat to ask Junior Tatola how he’s going. Junior saw all the gear I was carrying and asked me if I needed a hand. I declined but would like to just say what a gentleman Junior is, thinking of others when he has his own leg troubles to contend with.
