Team List Tuesday – Rabbitohs v Dolphins
History will be made on Thursday night the 13th of April 7.50pm at Suncorp Stadium when the Rabbitohs take on the Dolphins for the first time in an NRL match.
The focus will no doubt be on Dolphins coach Wayne Bennett going head to head with long time protégé Jason Demetriou.
Although many have been surprised by the Dolphins 4-2 start in its inaugural season, the Bennett factor does explain this unexpected form to some degree.
The Redcliffe, Queensland based Dolphins currently sit 4th on the ladder. They have scored 140 points and allowed 130, giving them a +10 differential.
The soon to be Maroubra based Rabbitohs have a 3-3 record and sit 10th on the ladder. (It must be noted that 5 teams above Souths have had the bye 2 points so their position on the ladder can’t be accurately evaluated until all teams have had the bye). The Bunnies have scored 128 points and conceded 100 giving them a +28 differential.
The Rabbitohs defence is the 3rd best in the NRL.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their squad for round seven of the 2023 NRL Premiership against the Dolphins. Rabbitohs Head Coach Jason Demetriou has named Jai Arrow to start in the front row with Alex Johnston returning to the wing.
