Rabbitohs Captains Run Easter Special
On arrival at Redfern Oval this morning we saw Alex Johnston out on the field working with a trainer. AJ has the week off after he sustained a nasty head knock against the Storm.
While Browny set up our camera gear I walked down to the newly named Rebels N Misfits Cafe (formerly Park Cafe on Chalmers) to get us a couple of coffees. While there I bumbed into Matt & Shaq Mitchell. Shaq told me he hopes to be back playing in a couple of weeks.

We kicked off our Captains Run live stream with Darren Brown and me on the microphones. Former Rabbitoh Abby El-zbaidieh joined us in commentary before Chaps arrived and took over.
During the show another former Rabbitoh Gerald Symonds came by to say hello. Gez had his 3 kids with him and they were all excited to see the Souths players out on the field.
On the training paddock the team looked sharp and ready to go against the Dogs tomorrow.
Legends
In the grandstand we caught up with two sporting legends, Bob McCarthy and Johnny Lewis. After the session another legend, Sam Burgess took the time to say hello to Bob & Johnny.
JD
After the main press conference we recorded our regular exclusive chat with Jason Demetriou. Chaps was on the money again and coach JD gave us another excellent insight into the club and it’s players. We gladly presented JD with a Darrell Lea Bilby which he accepted with a big smile and a thank you.
Trell Mit
I wandered down near the fence and captured another couple of Trell Mit goals that never looked like missing. Before he left the field I took one last picture of Latrell and wished him luck for his 150th NRL game tomorrow.
