League Legends Watch Pathways Trial

Bunnies TV broadcast all 3 pathways trials live from Marcellin Fields, Maroubra on Saturday.

On camera we expected to see Souths coaches John Sutton, Eddie Paea and Sam Burgess. We did however get more than we bargained for and eventually captured a star studded lineup.

We filmed from high above Marcellin Fields.

Tigers greats Benji Marshall and Paul Sironen were at Heffron, big ‘Siro’ as a Tigers sideline official while our camcorder zoomed in on Benji watching outside the fence on the western side.

Goal kicking maestro Jason Taylor sat with the Bears coaches right behind us, former Rabbitohs Mark Ellison, Brent Hill & Corey Adams came up for a chat and Ron ‘The Cougar’ Palmer made a surprise appearance.

Rabbitohs v Tigers Harold Matthews Cup

Luke Dellars Harold Matthews team started well. Two tries to flying centre Charlie Poynton saw them take a two tries to one lead.

A Star Studded Day At The Pathways – The Harold Matthews squad warming up before Saturdays trial.

Charlies first try brought back memories of the legendary Terry Fahey as he charged down the left hand touch line. Poyntons second try was created by some clever lead up work from five-eight Tylan Berryman.

A big Tigers side hit back then scored a late try to seal a 3 tries to 2 victory.

Tylan Berryman sets up Charlie Poynton for a super try.

Rabbitohs v Tigers SG Ball Cup

John Suttons SG Ball boys exploded out of the blocks and played some great footy. They eventually blew the Tigers away with a 9 tries to 4 victory.

Headlining the teams best performances was Tyrone Munros 4 tries and a try assist. The Tigers had no answer for the flying winger. The sky is the limit for this young bloke.

Munro Magic & much more.

Fullback Dane Towns was outstanding again chiming into the backline and causing havoc for the opposition every time he touched the ball. Towns scored a try and set up 4 tries for his teammates. Daniel Wright was superb as well scoring a try and giving the final pass for 3 more tries.

Newly recruited lock Liam Le Blanc was impressive and rock solid in the middle. Number 6 Jye Gray was everywhere and was a level above the opposition. Gray suffered a leg injury late in the match as he crossed for a try. This was a terrible incident to witness but we are hearing that Jye hopes to be back in a few weeks.

We kept cool with banabi water at the pathways trials.

Rabbitohs v Bears Tarsha Gale Cup

Our Tarsha Gale Cup girls continued their winning form with a 7 tries to 1 hammering of the Bears.

Firey captain Parker Stanton led from the front, scoring a try and putting her body on the line in defence. A couple of indiscretions saw her put on report but from our vantage point we don’t think she will have much of a case to answer.

Halfback Siniva Sa’anga dominated the opposition leading her team around the park and centre Kate Fallon scored a nice try.

During the game we live chatted with Anes (pronounced Ah-knees) Winitanas family members from New Zealand and also family of Manaia Maxwell in Wainuiomata Wellington NZ. Manaias mum Teejae sent us a lovely message after the game.

All the Tarsha tries.

During our live stream coverage we used our 30x Zoom to focus on the almost completed Heffron Centre on the eastern side of Heffron Park.

Wise words from Grant Chappell.
Full time for the Tarsha Gale trial.
