Breaking News
Fletcher Myers replaces Alex Johnston on the wing to make his NRL debut. Myers will become Rabbitoh #1201. Cameron Murray is back in the second row and captain.
Sad Sunday Recap
More misery for the Rabbitohs with a 32-12 loss to the Raiders on Sunday in Canberra. The 2024 nightmare continued when Alex Johnston snapped his Achilles tendon in the first half. The club has announced a 6-9 month recovery time.
Sunday footy in the nations capital didn’t begin well either when our NSW Cup side were hammered 56-16 by the Raiders in the curtain raiser.
At Merrylands our Women’s team led early and were up by 8 points in the 2nd half. The Eels got the 18-14 win but this was a tight 3 tries all contest. Parramatta just happened to score each time near the posts making their conversions easier. That was the difference, they kicked 3 from 3.
Women In League
Round 22 is Women in League round.
Harvey Norman Women in League Round celebrates the women playing crucial roles at every level of the Rugby League community, from executives like Tain Drinkwater, to head coaches like Tahnee Norris, and on field talent like Millie Elliott, and Belinda Sharpe inspiring the next generation on our fields and screens each week.
At Souths this year we celebrate our senior players Maddie Studdon and Kiana Takairangi as well as emerging talents Kiara McGregor and Nancy Sullivan.
Every young girl should know that there’s a role for them in Rugby League.
