Junior Reps Round 7 – Flegg In Fiji

Three Rabbitohs teams have the bye this week, NSW Cup, Tarsha Gale and Lisa Fiaola.

The Rabbitohs Tarsha Gale Cup team won their first game on Saturday defeating the Bears 22-8. Congrats girls! The Lisa Fiaola Cup team let in a late try to the Bears for a final score of 12 all.

Our Jersey Flegg, SG Ball and Harold Matts all had good wins. NSW Cup began their title defence with a hiccup after they were defeated by the Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval.

Fiji Silktails

This is the 1st year that the Kaiviti Silktails have played in the Jersey Flegg Cup competition. History will be made at 11:00am on Saturday the 16th of March when the Fijian club hosts their first home game at Churchill Park, Lautoka.

In round 1 the Silktails were defeated 38-20 by the Wests Tigers at Lidcombe Oval. There is a couple of tough names for game callers in the Silktails lineup. Last week Watisoni Waqanisaravi scored a try in the 51st minute and it was converted by Melikiseteki Nacaginimasei!

Rabbitohs prop William Arrage returns from a leg injury and Jared Johnson switches to the centres.

NSW north coast siblings Sophia and Tyrese Dungay both had wins on the weekend for their Rabbitohs teams. Sophia scored a try in the 22-8 Tarsha Gale victory over the Bears at Redfern. Tyrese also known as ‘Alfie’ started at prop on debut for the club in the Jersey Flegg 16-14 win over the Sea Eagles at Brookvale.
