Rivalry Round – Rabbitohs v Roosters

By Steve Mavin for Bunnies TV.

Footy Dean Is In!

Rabbitohs coach Jason Demetriou has pulled the trigger, dropping half back Lachlan Ilias in favour of Dean Hawkins.

Dean Hawkins will start at half back on Friday against the Roosters.

The Lethal Left

The other big inclusion is Jack Wighton who trained at left centre on Monday. The South Sydney ‘lethal left’ side just got an enormous boost. A left side backline raid will see Hawkins pick up either Cody Walker or Latrell Mitchell who then finds Jack Wighton onto Alex Johnston.

Davvy Moale and Jacob Host have been named to start, Shaquai Mitchell has been left out of the 17.

Ron Coote Cup

The Ron Coote Cup is played across both home and away fixtures in any given season, with the winner determined by the aggregate score from those two regular season matches.

The curtain raiser match will see the Rabbitohs play the Roosters in the NSW KOE Cup at 5:30pm.
