Souths Juniors continue to foster the great game of rugby league in our local area. Financially supporting over 3000 players each season to play the game by covering registration costs, providing jerseys, shorts and socks along with insurance cover and fees for ground hire. Also supporting referees, we continue to be a leading organisation in junior sport. Our support enables both players and volunteers from all backgrounds to become involved in rugby league. This leads to further opportunities that our great game provides. We continue to produce NRL players for the Rabbitohs year in year out as well as giving all the opportunity to grow both on and off the field.

Your support for our foundation will allow us to continue to provide these opportunities. This will also help us evolve and improve what we do to get the very best outcomes in the future. Any donations received will be focused in the following areas:

Junior Bunnies Academy

The Academy provides an opportunity for our talented under 13,14 and 15 year old players to further their rugby league development via elite coaching and training programs that culminate in matches against other NRL districts and country regions. It is the spring board to the Rabbitohs Elite Pathway and has seen many of our local juniors go on to forge NRL careers with the Rabbitohs. These players include John Sutton, Alex Johnston, Campbell Graham, and Cameron Murray.

Tours to the mid north coast, the snowy mountains and our state’s northwest give our players an opportunity to experience things that they would be unlikely to do otherwise. Tours also foster great relationships with the rugby league regions of Group 2, 3 and 16 and Gunnedah, Narrabri and Dubbo Junior Leagues.

Elite Player Development

Focusing on our true elite players with a holistic approach to both on and off field development including training and education to best prepare them for the game and their lives post Rugby league.

Female Participation and Pathways

Female participation is the real growth area of our game. Souths Juniors have already implemented its own female mini and mod league competition. They also and have numerous clubs and teams participating in the international age groups as well. The aim is to have our own development program for females that launches them into the Rabbitohs pathway and onto being future NRLW players. With an expected NRLW licence to go to the Rabbitohs in the near future, investment in this area will be an important part for the pathway to be the best in the business.

Souths Juniors A Grade Competition

The Souths Juniors A grade competition is unique in that it is the only stand alone A grade competition of its kind in metropolitan Sydney. This competition is a vital component of the junior league. The standard continues to be high and it provides a place for non-selected Rabbitohs pathway players to play weekly. This allows players to remain fit and competitive when again considered for selection in Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup. The A Grade Grand Final at Redfern Oval is always a fitting finale to our season.

Bunnies TV live stream of the historic 2022 A Grade Grand Final.

Concussion Awareness and Return to Play Program

We are partnering with Neuroflex to provide baseline brain health testing for all of our registered junior league players. This tool will enable any player who has been affected by a head injury post that initial test to be retested and a diagnosed return to play date set for the best outcome for the brain health of the person in question.

Watch On Bunnies TV

We are excited to announce that Bunnies TV will film the exclusive Souths Juniors Foundtion Launch Dinner and conduct interviews on Friday 14th July 2023 from 6.30pm.
