Dean Hawkins has been selected at halfback by Ben Hornby as expected to replace Cody Walker (11 day HIA Protocol). Richie Kennar successfully challenged his grade 2 ban and is free to play. At this stage Hornby has surprisingly resisted the temptation to promote Tyrone Munro into the starting side.

Round 25 is the Rabbitohs Members Appreciation Round, where the Club therefore pays tribute to the 30,000-plus Members that have committed to the Rabbitohs in 2024. The curtain-raiser match at 5:10pm will be the Rabbitohs vs Knights KOE NSW Cup match. Gates will open at 5pm on Saturday. Rabbitohs and Knights Members and supporters will also be allowed to access the playing surface at Accor Stadium approximately 15 minutes after the match on Saturday night with the Rabbitohs Fans on the Field experience!

Members & fans will be allowed on the field after full time.

Pathways

The Rabbitohs’ NSW Cup, Jersey Flegg Cup and Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership teams will play home matches this round against the Knights and Sharks.

In round 25 at Accor Stadium, the NSW Cup team will play in the curtain raiser to the NRL fixture, against the Newcastle Knights, this Saturday 24 August at 5:10pm.

The NSW Women’s Premiership team will kick off the action at home at Redfern Oval against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in round eight on Saturday 24 August with the game scheduled to commence at 11:30am. The Jersey Flegg Cup game between the Rabbitohs and the Knights will follow at 1:30pm.

Dion Teaupa replaces Dean Hawkins at five eight. Henry O’Kane is out with Siliva Havili coming in at lock after a forward pack reshuffle.
