Latrell Update – Rookie Exemption Granted
The big news coming out of Redfern Oval today was the status of supertar fullback Latrell Mitchell. Latrell trained stongly with the team, kicked a few goals and will play tomorrow night against the Panthers.
At the coaches press conference when asked about Latrell, Jason Demetriou aka JD said “Yeah he’s good, that was the plan to keep him off his legs until today. He got out there, he’s flying, looks good so as expected he’ll play tomorrow…he’s a big in”.
On Lachlan Ilias JD said “His evolution has been there for everyone to see. It’s still early days, he’s still got plenty of improvement in him and for me that’s whats exciting”.
Tallis Duncan
When Darren Brown asked about newly elevated developement player, 18th man Tallis Duncan JD said “Tallis is a player that has come through our system who looks to have a big future here at the club. I really like what he’s about, he’s got great skill, he’s got some good punch and defends really well. I won’t be suprised if he plays some first grade in the not too distant future”.
Live & Free
We kicked off our live stream coverage around 9am this morning. The broadcast lasted just under 30 minutes and we featured as many Rabbitohs as we could focus on during that time.
As a bonus we also went live on our Instagram and later on our TikTok page. It was a busy but enjoyable morning of content creation for Bunnies TV. I also filmed a walk around ‘Training TV’ video on my iPhone 14.
Legends At Redfern
Among the crowd today were two of the Rabbitohs all time greatest players, George Piggins and Bob McCarthy. Browny and I were ecstatic when George posed for a photo with us just before he left the ground.
