Junior Reps Finale – Flegg & Cup Round 4

By Steve Mavin for Bunnies TV.

The highlight of the weekend was the first win of the season by our NSW Cup team. After a round 1 loss their title fence is back on track after they defeated the Roosters 28-12 at Allianz Stadium.

Jye Gray All Day

Rabbitohs fullback Jye Gray had a big day with 1 Try, 20 Runs, 271 Metres, 4 Line Breaks, 9 Tackle Breaks, 1 Try Assist, 1 Line Break Assist, 72 Post Contact Metres, 2 Offloads & 1 Forced Drop Out. A first grade spot undoubtedly awaits!

Jye Gray had a big day…

Lachy Ilias deserves special mention for his performance. After an early dropped ball he had a great game in attack, defence and with the boot. Izaac Tu’itupou Thompson and Dion Teaupa made solid returns from injury. Brock Gray, Pete Mamouzelos, Chase Chapman and Matt French were all good up front.

Flegg At Wenty Park

The winning streak came to an end on Sunday when the Roosters defeated the Rabbitohs 30-4. Souths could not hold the ball and were never in the contest.

Junior Rep Results

The Rabbitohs junior reps sides went 0-3 on Saturday with both girls teams losing to the Wests Tigers and our SG Ball lads going down to the Knights.

NSW Cup v Bulldogs 1:40pm Friday 29th March Accor Stadium

Back to back curtain raisers on NSWRLTV for our NSW Cup team, this time on Good Friday at Accor Stadium against the 10th placed Bulldogs team that has had 1 win and 2 losses. A win, a loss and a bye has the Rabbitohs 4th on the competition ladder after 3 rounds.

As previously stated Bunnies TV has no affiliation with NSWRL but I am happy to play the $50 annual subscription fee to watch their live streams. On Friday if I went to the game to watch the NSW Cup clash at Allianz Stadium, I would have easily spent $50 or more on tickets, transport, food, drinks etc. and that’s just one game. Same goes for this week on Good Friday so in my opinion NSWRLTV is decent value for the product they deliver. The callers are all unquestionably good and the quality of the video is fine.

Jye Gray has not been promoted to first grade, he will start at fullback again on Friday. Sean Keppie and Siliva Havili drop back from first grade to start in the pack.
