Keppie’s Journey to the Rabbitohs

Sean Keppie’s journey to the South Sydney Rabbitohs is marked by determination. He is known for his hard work and burning desire to succeed in the NRL. Keppie played his junior rugby league for the Narellan Jets in the Group 6 Junior Rugby League. Keppie then made his first-grade debut for the Sea Eagles in 2019. Since then, he has gone from strength to strength. He has impressed with his ability to run for big metres, aggressive ball-running and solid defensive efforts. Keppie’s exceptional work ethic and commitment to improvement have seen him develop into a force to be reckoned with on the field.

South Sydney fans can look forward to witnessing the 25-year-old powerhouse don the red and green. He joins the likes of Tom Burgess and Davvy Moale in the Rabbitohs’ formidable forward pack. The combination of Keppie’s size and skill set makes him a valuable asset for the club, both in attack and defense.

Inspiration Off The Field

Keppie is also an inspiration off the field, having been nominated for the prestigious Ken Stephen Medal in 2021 and 2022. This was in recognition of his regular community work, an award which has been won over the past two seasons by his future teammates Cody Walker and Latrell Mitchell.

Rabbitohs Head of Football, Mark Ellison, says Keppie will add some starch to South Sydney’s middle rotation. “We’ve been watching Sean for a number of seasons. He has developed into a strong front rower with controlled aggression in both defence and attack,” Mr Ellison said.

“Manly has had one of the more formidable forward packs in recent seasons and Sean has played a big role in that.

“We’re also impressed with his commitment to working in the community. We are looking forward to incorporating him into Souths Cares and their transformational programs. This work involves all players.

“Sean joins our squad in November for pre-season training and pulls on the red and green jersey in 2024 and beyond.”
