Pre Season Challenge – Rabbitohs v Dragons

By Steve Mavin for Bunnies TV.

The Charity Shield is back in town, this years venue is Kogarah Oval also known as Netstrata Jubilee Stadium. The All Stars game featuring Latrell and Shaquai Mitchell is on Friday night in Townsville.

The top 30 Rabbitohs have not played a game this year but the club has been hit with one injury blow after another. Campbell Graham faces a long stint on the sidelines, Tyrone Munro has reportedly broken his collarbone and Cody Walker has a torn calf. On top of that Jack Wighton won’t be available until round 3 so that is 4 starters that we need to replace.

The Charity Shield Team

Souths coach Jason Demetriou has picked his best available players for what will be their final game before round 1 against Manly on March 3rd in Las Vegas. Next weeks trial against the Roosters will undoubtedly see mostly NSW Cup and train and trial players selected.

Dean Hawkins will play five eight and pathways star Jye Gray will come off the bench and get his first opportunity in the top grade. Jacob Gagai pulled out of the Māori All Stars team to play fullback.
