The Rabbitohs have the week off following their Charity Shield loss to the Dragons. The suspension of Lewis Dodd has undoubtedly opened the door for Jamie Humphreys to grab the number seven jersey in round 1 against the Dolphins.

The Bunnies will certainly be hoping that injured stars Campbell Graham, Jai Arrow and Junior tatola will be ready for the season opener.

Jamie Humphreys is set to play halfback for the Rabbitohs in round 1.

SG Ball Cup

Starting props Maddax Fui and Johannes Logan return this week and Caelis Samuel gets another start in the 2nd row after he was impressive in his first game back. Coach Nathan Hogan has named an unchanged backline and Daniel Lua is also back on the bench.

The Rabbitohs face another big test in round 5 of the SG Ball Cup on Saturday 1st March when they take on the undefeated Tigers 12:00pm at Redfern Oval.

Asher Pung is out, so is therefore replaced at centre by Taj Aufai-Farani. Ziggy Lester then replaces Taj in the 2nd row. Jahzelle Lokeni returns from a head knock on the bench and 16s star Jayden Rooke also gets his chance off the bench. Additionally, Coogee Wombats junior Clayton McGoon is 18th man.

The undefeated Harold Matthews Cup Rabbitohs meet a Sea Eagles team that are 2-1 so far in 2025. Kickoff is 10:30am Saturday 1st March also at Redfern Oval.

Olivia Jarrett will start on the wing. Sonaiva Kini-Samuelu gets a promotion to prop therefore Niah-Telesia Tukino swaps to the bench.

Alexus Gordon also returns at five-eighth. Victoria Loleni then gets the start at prop, replacing the injured Mia Elliott. Additionally, Bathurst junior Freya Hodges returns to hooker. Lastly, Ariana Te Rito, Olivia Harrison and Payden Brien are the new faces on the bench.
