As flood waters sweep across northern NSW & QLD some footage has emerged that has put a smile on our faces at Rabbitohs TV.

Gavins prized possession is safe & dry.

Souths fan Gavin Nerney sent us a video of his flooded home but the good news is that his prized framed Rabbitohs guernsey has survived the deluge.

Gavin told us – “We’re in Murwillumbah mate.”

“It’s hectic here at the moment. We live on the Tweed River on the outskirts of town. Moved up here from Newcastle 4 months ago.”

“We haven’t evacuated yet as we’ve got a 2 story place but we’ve got about 3 foot of water all through the bottom level.”

“I had an awesome man cave back in Newy with Souths gear all through it but the guernsey is the only thing I’ve hung up since we got here, I just rescued a couple of tubs full of my other gear and got them upstairs just in time.”

Edging Closer – Gavin sent us this update on the rising water.

“My mother won the guernsey about 20 years ago in a footy club raffle in Dubbo, our old hometown. It’s been my prized possession ever since.” Gavin Nerney
