The timing of our visit was perfect with the arrival just the day before of the Santa Ana Couch grass for the training surface and a smoking ceremony and presentation taking place.

Our tour kicked off with an informal chat to ADCO construction manager Michael Kouknas and progressed to a look at the gym area where we interviewed Todd Clark, we then inspected the river pool site before heading out to the training field.

Chaps actually placed his hand on the newly laid grass making him one of the first Souths fans to touch what will become the hallowed turf of the pride of the leagues home.
